Rob's Upcoming Shows

May, 2014

5/02 @ New England Tango Academy (w/Orquesta Sin Trabajo)
5/09 @ Dance Complex, Cambridge, MA (w/Olivier Besson)
5/11 @ Dance Complex, Cambridge, MA (w/Olivier Besson)
5/18 @ Som|Dog Spring Fling, Union Square, Somerville, MA (w/Ardigan)

May is around the corner, and I have a few choice shows I'd like you to attend.

First, this coming Friday (tomorrow!) my tango orchestra, Orquesta Sin Trabajo, will be performing at New England Tango Academy. Come see us play for local dancers, as well as internationally renowned guest dancers Kara & Javier. Be sure to click through and sign up for the OST mailing list if you want more timely updates than this (sorry!).

Then, on May 9th and 11th, I'll be playing music for a different kind of dancer: contact improvisers! Led by Boston Conservatory faculty Olivier Besson, we will whirl and swirl as part of the Dance Complex's Spring Faculty Show. Note: We're in "Program A", at 8 pm both nights (though the other programs will surely be lovely).

On the 18th I'll be in Union Square, Somerville with my brand new band, Ardigan! We're playing at the Som|Dog Spring Fling, which is an awesome spring bash put on by Somerville's canine-friendly organization. Beer garden + a whole bunch of dogs = the most fun at a gig possible! No cover for the music either, so this is a no-brainer.

In The Studio

Ardigan is going into the studio! We'll be at The Record Company on May 11th, making an EP of brand new original songs (most of which I wrote, including lyrics). Extremely excited about this band, and this music. Now's a good time to head over to our new Facebook page and click "Like", then sign up for the Ardigan mailing list for updates on the upcoming EP.
