What Recruiters want from
Prospective Financial Advisors

The benefits of moving abroad to become an international financial adviser are immense and any initial discomfort will be quickly replaced by the rewards of the new experience. The key to a successful move is for you to be well prepared and to have done sufficient research. The first part of that research will be understanding just what it is your new "boss" is expecting from you.

Candidate Selection - Keep to the Facts

Words evaporate if not trapped in ink, and you’ll find it most helpful to check the notes you have made, both with the candidate during the interview and with the referees you will be phoning later.

Guardian Wealth Management - Dubai

Regularly the most popular destination amongst our candidates over the past 4 years, Dubai remains the destination of choice for many financial advisers and coordinators seeking their first international work experience. Chris arrived in Dubai 8 years ago and is still enthused by the attractions of the Emirate: “Dubai has an amazing climate with golf and sailing, all year round activities which is very rare in such a modern business city. I am personally approaching 8 years in my Dubai life and am certainly looking forward to GWM's continued growth over my next 8 years”.
Living and working in Dubai and experiencing the region’s bustling growth environment as Chris explains: “ Dubai, the wider UAE and the surrounding GCC countries are going through a growth period that is unique and exciting for all involved. If you like change in your life, move to Dubai and watch it change around you”. Indeed, Dubai is one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities providing every imaginable activity, culinary experience and entertainment for its wide range of international residents, tourists and citizens. Aside from its many social and sporting attractions Dubai's geographical position as well as its amazing airline connectivity means it is a perfect hub for businesses and employees/owners to base themselves. Indeed, as Chris says “ It is a thriving business location”.
Chris is urgently seeking hard-working, professional and enthusiastic financial advisers and trainee Financial advisers (coordinators) to join his growing team in Dubai. The team is young, vibrant and successful. Initial financing can be arranged if circumstances justify it. Training is top class. Chris’s message to you...? “If you are reading this wondering to yourself ‘should I make the move?’ My advice is; Just do it. I promise you, if you are prepared to work hard and back yourself, I’ll ensure that if you won't regret it”.

Singapore is an exciting and beautiful country, with a tropical rainforest climate and average temperatures of 31 C throughout the year.

It is a safe, hospitable place, with the best quality of life in Asia. Eating out is a fun experience, from the large indoor local food courts to having a Singapore Sling in Raffles! There are lively café’s and top class restaurants with a huge selection of Asian and Western foods. Dining, along with shopping, is said to be the country's national past time.

Sports and recreation time is also very important, with football, basketball, cricket, and water sports, both played and watched. There is also the annual hosting of the F1 Singapore Grand Prix. For both individuals and families there are many attractions and events and a surprisingly good arts and entertainment scene, with events, including Broadway shows and fashion events.

They offer a good education system, in Singapore, so appeals to ex pats with families as also English is the first language.

Singapore is one of the world's leading commercial hubs, with the fourth-biggest financial Centre. A population of 5.3 M of which 38% are foreign workers and students. Singapore attracts a large amount of foreign investment, due to their low tax rates and the advanced infrastructure, with more than 7,000 multinational corporations from the United States, Japan, and Europe in Singapore, so potential business for an experienced and qualified financial advisor is high as is the potential to earn well!
