Statewide Grassroots Meetings begin in one week

Infrastructure funding, workforce development, tax reform, energy policy…what are the top issues facing your business? The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce is already preparing for a successful 2015 legislative session to continue the mission to improve South Carolina’s business climate, and we want to hear from you! In partnership with local chambers of commerce, the South Carolina Chamber is hosting Grassroots Meetings across the state in August and September. Grassroots meetings are open-forum sessions and the first step in creating the Chamber’s Competitiveness Agenda, the business community’s annual list of legislative priorities. Meetings will begin with a legislative year in review and release of the 2014 Legislative Scorecard before moving into an open discussion of legislative issues. Several Grassroots Meetings have already been scheduled in Summerville, Rock Hill, North Myrtle Beach and Aiken, with meetings soon to be scheduled in other parts of the state. You don’t want to miss the meeting in your area that will provide a wonderful recap, future initiatives and networking opportunities.
