Friday wrapped another successful SC Business Week. Each year, Business Week offers bright, young adults the unique opportunity to interact with business leaders along with their peers to learn more about the ins and outs of a successful career. Many of the students interview for college scholarships. Among the 2015 scholarship winners are a class valedictorian and a future U.S. Senator (or so she wishes). A new scholarship was hastily added upon review of the outstanding applications by SCANA, bringing the count up to six scholarships. It was a record year for the program and these six winners:
Ms. Taylor Bradley won the S. Hunter Howard, Jr. Scholarship for $5,000. She is a 2015 graduate of East Clarendon High School. She will attend USC in the fall of 2015.
Ms. Peyton Elmore was awarded the Ron McNair Leadership Award for $5,000. She is a rising junior at James F. Byrnes High School in Spartanburg.
Mr. Wayne Russ, II won the 2015 SCANA Scholarship for $3,000. He is a graduate of Crestwood High School in Sumter. He will attend USC in fall of 2015.
