Who needs a ticket to view the show?
Everyone admitted into the auditorium needs a ticket. This includes students, parents, siblings, friends, etc. The only exception is infants under 3 who may sit on a parent's lap without a ticket. Students and parents do not need a ticket to get to and from the dressing rooms. No viewing of the show is possible from the backstage area.
What about my daughter taking part in the show. Does she need a ticket?
Yes, if she wants to watch the show. Students taking part in Act II may sit with their parents for the entire first act, and return to their seat once they have performed (and changed out of their costume). Students in Act I can watch the entire Act II. Student tickets are available for $5.
How will my tickets be delivered?
When you purchase your tickets online you can print them at home, or you can pick up your tickets at Will Call on the day of the show. Please allow at least 30 minutes before showtime for ticket collection.
Are tickets available at the door on the day of the show?
Yes, subject to availability. The Box Office opens 1 hour before each shows, and tickets can be purchased by Cash or Credit Card (checks from registered Studio Families only).
How do I order Student Tickets for $5?
Student tickets are only to be purchased and used by registered Students at the Academy of Dance.

- Select your TOTAL number of tickets and add them to the Shopping Cart
- Go to the Shopping Cart and enter the appropriate password in the Coupon Code box at the top left of the screen.

- Click on drop down arrow next to the tickets you want to change to Student Pricing and highlight Student Ticket
What if I want to watch both shows? Are there discounts available?
No. In previous years for Nutcracker and Recital we worked with a different online ticketing company that allowed advanced discounting options. We had numerous issues with the ticketing company that caused a lot of problems for us and our guests (e.g. double-booking seats, seat maps being incorrect), so we have moved our ticketing to a new company. Unfortunately the new company does not allow advanced discounting options.
What if I need wheelchair or other accessible seating?
The venue has a number of seats specially set aside for guests with special seating requirements. These seats are clearly marked on the seating map.
What is the ticket exchange and refund policy?
All ticket sales are final, however, tickets may be refunded on the day of purchase only. Tickets may be exchanged for a different show at any time. Please call Customer Service at 1-844-RECITAL (1-844-732-4825) and Select Option 1 (8am -5pm Mon-Fri)
