Fundraising: A Great Way to Pay for Costumes

Over the last couple of weeks we've handed out packets for our first fundraiser of the year: Yankee Candle.  This is fundraising for your own direct benefit.  You get the proceeds from your own sales.  Parents who've been in the Studio for a few years know that fundraising is a great way to cover dance costs, and it's very worthwhile putting in the effort.

2 IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER

To make the Yankee Candle fundraising process as profitable and stress-free as possible, please remember these 2 important things:

  • You Must Add Sales Tax at 5.5% (and Shipping where applicable) to your orders
  • Yankee Candle orders must be turned in at either Studio with full payment by the end of class on Monday October 10.  

    The Yankee Candle literature says the due date is 10/3, while our Fundraising paperwork says 10/10. The correct end date is 10/10.

Yankee Candle Quick Guide:

  • all orders are on a single Order Form

  • you can also get friends or family who live far away to order online. Just go to www.yankeecandlefundraising.com, click “Seller's Login”, and then “Signup to be a Seller” using the Group Number 990010256 to register.

  • No separate shipping is payable; Yankee Candle automatically deducts this from the commission paid.

  • Keep hold of the PINK page of the order form so when your items are delivered you know who ordered what

  • All items are shipped to the studio; we will let you know when they're ready for collection

  • Add Sales Tax of 5.5% to all orders

  • Delivery is 2-4 weeks from receipt of orders

  • Your account will be credited with 25% of your total sales (excl. tax)

October Accounts

October's Dance Accounts have been sent out.  Each account includes a $20/costume Recital Costume Deposit as detailed in our Welcome Newsletter.  Please remember that all monthly accounts are due by your first class of each month, or a late fee of $5 may be payable.
