October 20, 2015, the Grand-messe Montréal inc. will bring together under one roof 100 startups from all sectors for the first time. This large startup expo will give young entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their products and services to other entrepreneurs, to the business people, bloggers and medias.
 
A unique event for discovering new startup trends in Montréal!
 
The event will take place in one of Montréal's oldest churches, the Church of St Joseph, which now houses the Salon 1861 – a meeting place for creative collaboration.
 
If you would like to be an exhibitor, please contact Andrée Lemay. (Free booth space. Participating companies must have been in business for less than 3 years and will undergo a selection process).

Semi-Final - Prix Montréal inc.

Launched in 2011, the Prix Montréal inc. is an exclusive competition for Fondation Montréal inc. laureates. The participants represent  the best that the next generation of Montreal entrepreneurs has to offer.
 
Seven ambitious and talented entrepreneurs will compete on stage at the semi-final, in order to earn a spot in the Finals at the Soirée Montréal Inc.
 
On October 22, come in large numbers to encourage the competing startups and vote for your favourite business: Oatbox , Mobilier De GaspéHeddokoMakerBloksMogile technologiesNeuro-Concept et 1642 cola.
 
The semi-final program:
 
5:30 pm - Welcome and cocktails
6 pm to 7:30 pm – Pitches by competitors & questions from the jury and the public
7:30 pm to 8:30 pm - Cocktail reception & announcement of the finalists and the public vote winner

" Entrepreneurs en résidence "
 

For 19 years, the Fondation has helped young entrepreneurs to develop their businesses by providing quality training and workshops. In our new lecture series "Entrepreneurs en résidence", successful laureates speak to new entrepreneurs about their area of expertise and share in simple terms best and worst practices.

Collaborative group

Join the 3rd collaborative group which will kick-off in November and benefit from the experience of entrepreneurs who face the same challenges as you.
 
Collaborative group focuses on using interactions between participants to achieve a key objective: becoming a better entrepreneur.
 
Frequency: Every 5 weeks over a period of 6 months
Duration: 2 hours
Location: Fondation Montréal inc.
Group start-date: November 2015
Timetable: to be determined by participants.
 
Group of 6 to 8 entrepreneur with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Wear It Smart 2015

Montreal’s first large-scale wearable technology conference is coming on October 1 and you are invited. Wear It Smart Conference will explore the impact, the potential and the challenges wearables, including smart clothing, are having within various industries. The event will take place at Société des Arts Technologiques de Montréal and will feature a panel of innovators and thought leaders within the Wearable Technology space.

Montréal inc. is fully mobilized!

Volunteers are more motivated than ever to lend a hand to the next generation. To date, more than 226 coaching sessions have been completed this year and 103 project evaluators have expressed interest in evaluating applications for the next cohort of the Foundation laureates. To all of you, a big thank you!

Congratulations to Pierre Rodrigue, Foundation board member and chairman of the Soirée Montréal inc. Committee, who was recently appointed Vice President, Industry Relations of BCE and Bell.
