Think Tank Goes Global
We've enjoyed a couple inspiring weeks at our studio, and we're excited to update you on it all...
Our second Think Tank discussion was last weekend, and it has grown to include tabletop pros from around the globe. A multi-cam zoom conference hosted in our studio, helped our local LA network talk shop with colleagues from around the world. We had an open discussion between departments that don't always have the chance to speak frankly and ask questions. The lively conversation between Directors, Stylists, Producers and Technicians was a step towards breaking down barriers and guiding the evolution of our industry from cultural, creative and practical standpoints. Some topics included how cultural differences affect the creative process, streamlining bidding procedures and set schedule/hours.
Tabletop Meets XR
A special note for the pioneers among us:
On the experimental front we've been working on ways to explore the use of our studio lot's XR wall and motion capture stage for the tabletop industry.
While a digital wall may not seem like a likely fit for tabletop production, we believe that virtual production and digital integration is here to stay. And if there is a place for it in within our industry, we would like to find it. So we'd like to experiment, make some fun projects and learn:
* What exactly is the value of XR production creatively and/or budgetarily?
* Are there any creative uses that can standardize XR as a tool within our space?
If you're interested in XR, the future of tabletop and want to explore it with us, please reach out. We are all ears and are looking for passionate folks to collaborate with on this.
