Celebrating AntiquityNOW Month!
We have been celebrating our first AntiquityNOW Month this May and are already looking forward to next year! As we approach May 2014, look for announcements from us about exciting new partnerships with valued cultural institutions that share AntiquityNOW’s interest in preserving our cultural heritage and demonstrating how our ancient past influences our lives today. In May 2014, we’ll debut innovative educational programming developed in collaboration with our partners, including special projects with The Archaeology Channel, Girl Be Heard, and our virtual artist-in-residence, Dan Fenelon.

What topics have AntiquityNOW's readers been loving? Our blog "Tattoos and the Body as Canvas" connected contemporary lovers of body art with the centuries old history of tattooing, and got picked up by the fabulous podcast Stuff You Missed in History Class. We celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week with "In Praise of Teachers—4,000 Years of Preparing the Next Generation," which honored our modern-day educators by recalling some of the great teachers from the past who still inspire us today. These two blogs were this month's readers' favorites, so be sure to check them out!
