When I was 19, I was sexually assaulted.

What’s more, it took me more than 8 years to be able to overcome my guilt and shame enough to speak about it publicly. That is too long.

We desperately need to break the stigma around talking about domestic violence and sexual assault so that others like me are able to speak out and get the help they need and deserve.

Now during NO MORE Week, we have the chance to continue the conversation and help end the shame and stigma around these issues.

Click here to join thousands of your friends and neighbors who want to keep the conversation going at a local NO MORE Week event!

If you haven’t experienced domestic violence or sexual assault, it can be hard to understand just how difficult it is for survivors to talk about.

But I've seen it in my own life, on college campuses, and in the thousands of people I have met who share my struggle.

The guilt.

The shame.

The pain.

Just knowing that there are people out there who care, who will listen and not judge you makes all the difference -- it certainly did for me.

And the best way to build a society where survivors know they can speak out is to keep this conversation going. Not just on the internet, or through ads, but face-to-face.

NO MORE Week is a chance to do just that.

I'll be attending a few events, and I hope you'll join me by clicking here to find events in your area or host your own during NO MORE Week.

We can break the stigma -- one voice at a time.

Thank you so much,
