Activities from the NCSS

Multi-Lingual Rosary

Wednesdays, Sept 30 to Nov 25

Come join the NCSS in praying the Roasry! This event is both scriptural and multi-lingual - if you have a language you prefer to pray in, you are encouraged to do so! Note that you also have the option of leading a decade of the Rosary in your preferred language . Hope to see you there ❤

Meditation

Biweekly Mondays, Oct 19 to Nov 30

Join the NCSS in meditating alongside the works of St. Josemaría Escrivá. This bi-weekly event is a great opportunity to start the week in a prayerful state of mind. Pour yourself a cup of coffee (or tea!), close your eyes, and turn your hearts to Christ! Hope to see you there!

Keep Calm & Paint Happy Trees

Come join the NCSS in our crafts night! We will be following a Bob Ross tutorial, though you are free to paint/draw/sketch/doodle anything of your choosing! We will be having a contest as well - for bragging rights, though NO ARTISTIC TALENT IS REQUIRED TO WIN! Everyone is welcome! ❤

Liturgy of the Word

Monday - Friday

Our Chaplain, Fr. Joachim will be hosting a weekday Liturgy of the Word until we can resume daily Mass at the Newman Centre. The Liturgy will take place online, via Zoom at 4:30 PM Monday-Friday!

Catholic [Faith] Studies

Do you wish to deepen and develop a living relationship with Christ? Do you wish to learn more about the Catholic faith? If yes, then Catholic [Faith] Studies is for you! Register for it here!
Catholic [Faith] Studies begins on October 17th via Zoom. This year we will be discussing the Pope's new Encyclical Letter "Fratelli Tutti".  All are welcome!

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Activities from MORSL

Spirituality, Sexuality, and Sexual Violence:
Pathways for Healing

Saturday Oct 17
3:00 - 4:30pm

Spirituality and sexuality are inextricably linked, yet these interconnections are often overlooked. Join SACOMSS and MORSL for an interactive session where we explore the interactions between faith and sexuality, while considering the diverse impacts of sexual assault on spirituality. We’ll also discuss the potential role of faith in a survivor’s healing process.

Mass Schedule
Subject to change according to restrictions placed by the University and Quebec

All masses held at the Newman Centre are cancelled until further notice, but you are welcome to visit Catholic churches in downtown Montreal, such as St. Patrick’s Basilica, Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde, or the Church of the Gesù to pray or attend their services.
Our chaplain, Fr. Joachim, will remain available to speak with you via Zoom, and he would love to hear from you. He can be reached by email at chaplain@newmancentre.org.
You may also join us for the online Liturgy of the Word, held at 4:30pm Monday-Friday.

Centre Hours

The Newman Centre is open weekdays from 10:00AM-5:00PM (extended hours on some days) and on weekends during scheduled events such as Mass.

Parking at Newman

Parking spaces are reserved for staff, all others by permission only. Fees apply. See a member of staff before parking. Unidentified vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
