Emma tells us how her school began delivering a 'Creative Curriculum' to pupils with a history of low attainment, from an area of high deprivation. Schools Northeast   Why British values should be folded into character education, by Dr Tom Harrison, Director of Development, Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues. Dr Harrison, who will be speaking about character education at FutureReady 2016, believes the policy should be rethought in order to be delivered and promoted efficiently, stating: "it should be expressed in terms of 'universal virtues' and could either be taught as a discreet subject or through and within other curriculum subjects.  Read more >

Schools Northeast   New research shows that children start worrying from a very young age, with mothers reporting a peak of worrisome thoughts at 10.  

Emotional disruption was highest at 10, and the highest level of interference in daily life was observed at 13, especially for girls.
