I am delighted to invite you to SCHOOLS NorthEast’s third annual FutureReady Careers Conference, taking place on Thursday 9 February at Hardwick Hall Hotel, County Durham.
FutureReady focuses on the knowledge and experiences, along with the key attributes and attitudes, a young person needs to succeed in the 21st century.
You will hear from a range of expert speakers who will leave you feeling inspired and full of ideas to improve careers provision in your school. You will also learn from good practice taking place in schools across the region.
- What does good careers guidance look like?
- Are you doing enough to develop confidence, creativity and character?
- How can you ensure that all pupils, including those with special education needs, are prepared for life after school?
- How can you engage with businesses in a meaningful way?
This year’s conference will feature a business networking session, attended by approximately 50 businesses. You will have the opportunity to meet with the business people, discuss your needs and develop relationships.
The conference is open to delegates from both Primary and Secondary schools, with tailored sessions for each. This event is relevant to Head Teachers, Senior Leaders, Heads of Departments, Careers Leads, PSHE staff and School Governors.

The conference costs just £100 + VAT for a standard secondary school place and £75+VAT for a standard primary school place.
