UPDATE FROM HARRIET ROBERTS, OPERATIONS & PROJECTS MANAGER, STANLEY GRANGE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION - week com 23 August 2021
SUNDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER,
DISABILITY AWARENESS DAY, WARRINGTON
I’m delighted to introduce you to my friend, Dave Thompson MBE (pictured left) who is the Chief Executive of Warrington Disability Partnership and the founder of Disability Awareness Day, now in it’s 30th year. Dave and I worked together on Purple Tuesday, raising awareness of accessibility issues and the needs of visitors with hidden disabilities to Warrington Town Centre.
Disability Awareness Day (DAD), is the worlds largest 'not for profit' voluntary-led disability exhibition, and is held annually in a huge tented village within the grounds of Walton Hall Gardens, Warrington. We’re delighted to have been provided with an indoor pitch and so we’ll be going along with our partners from Future Directions to tell the world about Stanley Grange. Some of our residents will be coming to enjoy a great day out! Click the link below for details of the full programme. Everyone is welcome at this event!
