UPDATE FROM HARRIET ROBERTS, OPERATIONS & PROJECTS MANAGER, STANLEY GRANGE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION - 12 September 2021
A GRAND DAY OUT IN WARRINGTON
The Stanley Grange partnership team had a fantastic day out at Walton Hall Gardens this weekend when we took part in Disability Awareness Day organised by Warrington Disability Partnership.

We were so proud of our Garden Centre theme using apple crates and end of season bedding plants with some daffodil bulb planting activities for the children.  The team included Family Forum members, Pat and David Bell and Lorraine Chapman-Linnett, Registered Manager.  Activities Coordinator, Kevin Phoenix kept everyone entertained on his guitar dressed, whilst dressed as a flower-pot man. SGCA’s Harriet Roberts was also in a jolly flower costume.

Thank you to Judith, Simon and Anne for getting all the compost, pots and plants ready for us to take. Our stall looked amazing! It was a huge surprise to be summoned on stage to receive the Best Charity Stall award at the end of the day. What an incredible honour and we even made the headlines in the Warrington Guardian.

This was our first time at Disability Awareness Day and we can’t wait for next year!
