LIFE Garden Harvest

Now that's a Lot of Vegetables!

Can you picture $15,000 worth of vegetables? There are approximately 10,000 schools in the US but it is very rare for a school garden to be producing food for their cafeteria at this scale. Not only do Lopez children learn the life cycle of nutritious, organic and GMO-free vegetables, they also contribute to enhancing the bottom line of the school budget.

What a remarkable demonstration of sustainability! This year the school garden has generated the equivalent of more than $15,000 in produce, providing the majority of fresh, wholesome vegetables that forms the basis of the highly nutritional lunches for which Lopez School is renowned.

You Can Make a Difference!

The LIFE Garden and Farm Program is launching a fundraising campaign to support this ongoing food production for our Lopez School cafeteria.
Our goal is to raise $5000 and we need your support to make it happen!
Simply click on the "DONATE" button to donate securely through PayPal, or send a check, payable to LISD, to benefit the L.I.F.E. Garden & Farm Program, 86 School Road, Lopez, WA 98261. We'll keep you posted on how it's going!
