In other news...

  • Julia Gets a New Number - here is a special message from Julia, "Hi everyone. After 30yrs of loyal service my landline number has changed from 01223893307 to 01223890759. I changed internet providers in September and talk talk wouldn’t release my landline number to my new providers Netplus. This has been a hostage situation! After three pleas of negotiations we have had to say goodbye to 893307. A faithful number and end of an era."
  • Bibles for China - A Call for Support - as you heard last week, Chris Kemshell and Richard Silk are travelling to China at the end of October to distribute Bibles to the rural poor so they can have their own copy in their own language. All of their travel and accommodation costs are fully funded, but the Bibles cost money to produce. If you would like to support this worthy cause they have both set up a web page in order for you to donate. You can support Chris here and Richard here. The charity that organise the Bibles is called Good Books for Asia (GB4A) set up by Mark and Jan Newton. You can visit their home page here: http://www.gb4a.org. It would be great if we could show our support for this amazing charity by support Chris and Richard.
  • Pray for Beacon - Chris shared at the church meeting last week that Beacon is going through a time of transition as Barry moved on over the summer, and plans are now being pulled together about the future shape of Beacon's ministry. Please pray for the team that lead Beacon as they discern God's will together.
  • Plans for Christmas - if you would like to help organise our plans and events for Christmas, please do get in touch with Donna who would be delighted for help!
