A Friendly Note From Our Team
Dear <<First Name>> ,
We are commencing the new year, yet looking back one last time
into the last year.
The first Curacao Marathon was a tremendous success and the second edition is already scheduled for 29 November 2015. Also Curacao's Baseball Week was, as it always has been, a highlight with many of the professional Curacao baseball players present for a meet & greet at one of the clinics.
We also dare not forget top musical highlights such as Su’Legria (January), Smash the House (January) Amnesia (July), North Sea Jazz Curacao (August), Face IT (September) and Woodstock Curacao (December).
The neighborhood district of Pietermaai is aiming to become the beating heart of Curacao's nightlife and entertainment along-side the enjoyable Koninginnedag festivities and the Pietermaai Pagara at the end of the year; also introducing Pietermaai Proeft (small signature dishes served at various restaurants) and the Pietermaai Christmas Fair.
We expect all of the aforementioned events to continue throughout 2015 beginning with Su’Legria on 2 January. We will keep you informed and hope to meet you at one of these occasions.
RE/MAX BonBini in 2014 waived goodbye to 2 veteran agents while welcoming aboard 3 novel agents during the upgraded migration to a new office in the Riffort Village. Peeking into 2015: we will open a new office in Eden Shoppers Paradise shopping center and later in the year in the phase 2 of the new Sambil Shopping mall. And perhaps some other surprises will be awaiting us at a later stage.
We wish you and your loved ones all the best for 2015!
Recently there has been a increase in departure destinations to Curacao or in other words a greater choice of destinations to travel to from Curacao.
JetBlue announced the launch of bi-weekly non-stop flights from New York to Curacao. On 2 December the first direct flight from Curacao to New York took place via airline service JetBlue.
This is only the beginning.
Air Canada launches new flights to Curacao from Montreal as of January 1, 2015 and is extending its seasonal flights from Toronto - Curacao to a year-round service.
Furthermore Insel Air continued its operations from Curacao to Port-of-Spain as of 15 December 2014, while starting direct flights from Curacao to Georgetown, Guyana as of 18 December 2014 and destination point Trinidad returned to Insel Air’s network.
Fuik Day is Curacao’s yearly recurring boat party in Fuik Bay on the first Sunday (or the second if it’s bad timing) of the year with a plethora of boats, the casual floatation device, proper yachts, booze and popular DJ’s. Everything that floats comes to Fuik Bay for one big party on the natural Caribbean Sea.
Previous editions featured artists such as Chuckie, Afrojack, Dimitri
Vegas & Like Mike, The Partysquad, Martin Garrix manning the turntables of their own boats utilizing prepped stages right on the water.
In order to maintain safe conditions for all involved this year invites more strict rules and regulations, therefore the large raft will not be present. We are positive this will not have an effect on the fun factor of the party and hope you will at one point have the opportunity to experience the madness for yourselves on Fuik Day.

Movie Jandino Asporaat partially filmed on Curaçao
The new beach adjacent to the Martin Luther King Boulevard at Marie Pampoen is planned to be unveiled before the end of 2015.
The project of creating this beach started on 4 December 2014. The beach will be approximately 1 kilometer in length and the investment estimated at around ANG10 million, which will be paid by three of the governmental ministries and the Curacao Tourism Board (CTB).
The Dutch comedian Jandino Asporaat is playing the lead role in his own movie Bon Bini Holland.
He will play an con man who’s earning his money renting out houses on Curacao without the consent of the owner. When things go awry he flees to the Netherlands where he falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Will this be his ticket to safety?
They already began recording in the Netherlands. The Curacao takes will follow shortly.
In the Fall of 2015 the film is expected to be airing in the cinemas.
