A Friendly Note From Our Team

Dear <<First Name>> ,
We are still enjoying a nice and refreshing breeze and temperatures have not started to increase yet. The weather was therefore perfect for the Kings Day activities that took place on both April 27th and April 30st.  April 30th was already scheduled as an official holiday for this year and therefore Curacao residents were able to enjoy an extra day off. Now its back to work, fully recharged.

We are looking forward to be celebrating Mothers Day with our beloved mothers and grandmothers. When it comes down to it, family is everything, right? If your beloved ones live far away, try sending them a token of your appreciation anyway.

HGTV Recording Third Curacao Based Edition Of House Hunters International

House Hunters International is a television show that reaches more than 80 million households worldwide. In a 30-minute show, viewers accompany a person, couple or family in finding the perfect home abroad.

A real estate agent shows a total of 3 homes that meet the buyers needs, wishes and budget. Consequently, the buyers get to pick their dream home. The show ends with an impression of their new life abroad.

House Hunters International is a show by the renown Home & Garden Television (HGTV) The HGTV film crew recorded shows with RE/MAX BonBini real estate agents before, in 2008 and 2012. Both shows were well received and have gotten dozens of re-runs. This has caused ample free publicity for the island of Curacao.

As we speak, a HGTV crew is present on the island to record a third show. In cooperation with the Curacao Tourism Board, shots will be taken in various gorgeous spots on the island, including Blue Bay and the Avila Beach Hotel area. We are proud to be working with HGTV once again and hope to showcase our island to millions of viewers once again.

Easter Monday Seú Parade

Each year, on Easter Monday, Curaçao celebrates its heritage and culture with a Seú harvest celebration parade. This year, no less than 43 groups participated in this colorful celebration, dancing and singing all the way from either Rooseveltweg to Hamelbergweg or from Hofi Abou to Barber. Participants dressed up in traditional costumes, replicas of garment worn by slaves in the colonial era. At that time, Seú was a means to express thankfulness after the rainy season.
