Dear <<First Name>> ,
Curaçao is yet again bubbling with life this month.
Remnants of the "Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival" and "Face It" with "Hardwell" and "Dannic" are still echoing in our ears while the "Curaçao Gay Pride" event is just finishing and we are awaiting much more to come.
The yearly cultural festival of Curaçao "Siman di Kultura" will take place from September 28 – October 5, 2014. During the first weekend of October we will enjoy the first session of "Pietermaai Proeft", a musical and culinary event at which the surrounding area restaurants will present samples of their most popular dishes. And even though we will be celebrating Carnival only next year February, the launch of the Carnival Season with the presentation of the groups and their respective colours is scheduled from 6 – 9 October 2014
These are just a few of the wonderful events taking place on Curaçao. Visit www.curacao.com

We are looking forward to this exciting month and can imagine you are as well!
As has been confirmed by Minister Nelson Navarro, a new policy regulating permits granted to investors will be effective as of October 1, 2014.
This law is an addition to existing admissions policies. Wealthy investors who made a business investment or are planning to make a business investment in the amount Naf 500,000 or more will be granted a residence permit valid for 3 years, a period which will be prolonged if conditions do not change. An investor will receive a residence permit valid for 5 years when investing Naf 750,000 and an indefinite period when the investment amounts to Naf 1,500,000 or more.
Some restrictions to this policy do remain as costs for obtaining the residence permit have to be paid and a health insurance policy is obligatory. With the exception of foreigners mentioned in article 11 of the Landsverordening Toelating en Uitzetting, a security must be paid in the amount according to each respective nationality.
In case of family reunification a temporary permit may be considered after a permit is granted to the investor. Wealthy investors who already possess a temporary permit can make an appeal to this new “Investor permit 2014”.

RE/MAX Bon Bini began with a modern concept in our new office at the Rif Fort dubbed the Real Estate Café.
This fresh approach will allow us to host and organize informational sessions with refreshments alongside the opportunity to welcome our clients to meet with us in a comfortable setting. Informational sessions will include among many topics such as Estate Planning or the advantages of particular legal entities when involving real estate transactions. We will be inviting key guest speakers to increase public knowledge and awareness.
This grand chapter in our business development is one of many which will assist us in our goal to bring our service level above the crowd. The following newsletters will keep you abreast of our latest services.
On Saturday September 20, about 2500 volunteering individuals got their hands dirty for a cleaner Curaçao.
In September of 2013 over 1700 volunteering individuals collected nearly 500.000 kg of trash during the first Curaçao Clean Up. This Clean Up is organized by Curaçao residents in order to express a clear message to encourage the Curaçao government to consider additional environment laws while urging the people of our island to maintain a state of cleanliness for all to enjoy.
For the Curaçao Clean Up 2014, RE/MAX Bon Bini team members were among the 2500 individuals who participated to clean 55 designated locations spread over the island. These locations were divided into three categories: land, beach and sea. Caracasbaai in Jan Thiel had a total of 80 divers collecting fishing lines, bottles, lead, plastic, car tires and even a full car itself from the sea.
Kokomo Beach hosted a well-deserved after party after the job was completed.
Our latest team member Jur Madern, has lived on the island for a number of years and knows Curaçao well. We are proud to have him join our office as our business continues to grow. Jur has begun our in-house training sessions in full force and we are confident he will make for an excellent addition to our team.
As of October 1, 2014 the extension .an in websites and e-mail address will be terminated.
RE/MAX Bon Bini has anticipated this change and therefore has been using two extensions during the last two years (.an representing Netherlands Antilles and .cw representing Curaçao West-Indies) but not all companies have prepared themselves so we advise you to check the addresses carefully prior to sending e-mails.
If you have not done so already please ensure that you mail us using only the addresses containing .cw extensions.
