A Friendly Note From Our Team

Dear client ,

Let us begin by wishing you all the best into 2015.  Have you made a new year resolution?  Ours is to assist you even better finding your dream home or if you are a seller, the ideal buyer party.  We will keep you informed about the steps taken in order to make this work.

We noticed that some of you receive our newsletter more than once from different agents. Our office is organized with independently working agents, each sending out a newsletter to their own mailing lists, therefore we are unable to prevent your name from showing up on various lists.  We are sorry for this inconvenience.  Please click the UNSUBSCRIBE button at the bottom of the newsletter when receiving from a different agent to ensure you will only receive the letter from your preferred agent.

Progressing forward, Curaçao is getting ready to party.  First with the Tumba festival showcasing 54 competing bands and later the Carnaval.  Click
here to view the Tumba and Carnaval schedules.

We hope to keep you well informed and entertained with our newsletter this year.

Ride, Swim, Walk for the Roses

January started with a great result for the “Uphill Challenge”, the first challenge in a row of sporting events.

This annual event raises funds for the Stichting Prinses Whilhelmina Fonds (a private organization that takes action preventing cancer) and began with the Uphill Challenge on Saturday 17 January.  This year contestants cycled up or around the famous Tafelberg (Table Mountain).  By doing this as many times as manageable they collected more than ANG100,000.

On Sunday 25 January participants chould choose to either Ride, Walk, Swim or Sail for the Roses or to participate in a 4-hour spinning session.  Several team members of RE/MAX BonBini have also participated in this great event as they do every year.  All participants have made their contribution to this good cause.

Curacao has planned for the development of a second mega pier for cruise ships in the Rif Fort area. The pier is intended to open in late 2016 / early 2017.  This mega-pier will make it possible for Curaçao to welcome around 1 million cruise tourists in five to ten years.

To decide on a new name for the mega pier, Curacao has opened a website where people can make suggestions.  The person who comes up with the most favored name will win a cruise!  So grab the challenge and click here to enter this competition.

Project "Touristic Development Waaigat" starts

Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) will start with the ‘Touristic Development Waaigat’ project.

Waaigat is inland water in the center of Punda which can be reached via the Annabaai.  With the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and the guidance of the Waaigat Development Foundation the plans will be made possible.

Improving water quality is a high priority. Once the water quality has improved, the project continues with the construction of jetties for boats and yachts.  The CPA will use plans developed by the Fundashon
Desaroyo Waaigat (2010) and the Waaigat Masterplan (2007) in order to offer its input into the development of the Waaigat into a marina village.
