HCWH’s Strategic Partner the Climate and Health Alliance and GGHH Founding Member the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association will be hosting the “Greening the Healthcare Sector Think Tank” on October 14th. The event provides an opportunity to contribute to a discussion about how to accelerate progress towards sustainable healthcare. Check out the final program here

US | Healthier Hospitals Initiative Releases Milestone Report

The Healthier Hospitals Initiative (HHI), GGHH founding member representing the U.S. healthcare sector in this global forum, released their second Milestone Report. The report shows that more leading hospitals are adopting innovative sustainability practices to reduce their environmental footprint, lower costs and improve the health of patients and staff.  Read more

Led by Bill Ravanesi and Paul Lipke from HCWH US, hospitals in Boston continue to create and lead some of our most ambitious efforts, including: toxics reduction, green building, cleaner energy, and environmental health community benefits. These efforts have turned Boston into a model city where the health care sector is leading the effort to address climate change. Asia | New Sustainability Coordinators

Based in HCWH's Asia office in Manila, Nischal Neupane is the new regional Sustainability Coordinator. Before being involved with HCWH, Nischal worked in Nepal promoting conscious water use. Meet Nischal!

Based in China, Chao Jiang works as the national Sustainability Coordinator at HCWH's partner organization in Beijing, Rock Environment and Energy Institute. Chao has four years' work experience in chemical safety and environmental health advocacy. Meet Chao!

Argentina | Conference on Energy Efficiency 

Health Care Without Harm, Rosario’s Technological University (UTN-Rosario) and the Health Secretary of the City of Rosario, will be hosting a Conference on Energy Efficiency and Clean, Renewable Energy Generation in Health Facilities. The event will take place Thursday,  October 16th, in Rosario, Santa Fe (Argentina). Read more
