It's A Triple Celebration!!

**MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR  SATURDAY MARCH 17TH, 2018**

We invite you and yours to help us celebrate the six year anniversary of PONDL Winery, as well as the birthday of our wine maker Pat, and of course St. Patrick's Day!! There is no admission fee to this event, just our way of thanking  you for your support over the last six years. There will be new wine releases, Pat's famous corned beef & cabbage, Mom's potato salad and live music from "Stephanie D Trio" singing Motown and beyond! WINNER!! Double Gold 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition! 

We are pleased to announce that we were awarded Double Gold in the 2018 San Francisco Wine Competition for our Syrah/Cab blend, 'Chris' Dream'! This wine is age-worthy, great with food. Molasses, earthy leather on the nose. Blackberries, raspberries, wild strawberries, front of mouth. Mid-palate, tannins are pronounced, but restrained and full of spices – allspice & anise, with eucalyptus on the finish. Come & experience the "dream" at PONDL Winery!

WINNER!! Bronze 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition!
We are pleased to announce that we were awarded Bronze in the 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition for our 2015 Old Vine Zine Late Harvest! It was our first ever OVZ! The vines are 95-year-old vines east of Lodi in the heart of Lodi AVA. Intense inky color! This is a serious sipping wine, with warm, ripe jammy flavors. A hint of dried fruit leads to a long sweet finish. Come in for a visit and taste the heart of Lodi wine country!

Teriyaki Mini-Meatloaves

4spray(s)cooking spray
1Tbspolive oil
1largeuncooked onion(s)
2clove(s), mediumgarlic clove(s)
8ozcremini mushroom(s)
12ozuncooked 93% lean ground beef
1largeegg(s), lightly beaten
1TbspWorcestershire sauce
12tsptable salt
14tspblack pepper
2cup(s)shredded carrot(s)
1cup(s)cooked brown rice
16tspreduced sodium teriyaki sauce
12tspcrushed red pepper flakes
14cup(s)uncooked scallion(s), chopped
 

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pulse onion and garlic in food processor until finely chopped; transfer to skillet and cook, stirring occasionally.
  • Meanwhile, pulse mushrooms in food processor until finely chopped; add to skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until most of liquid evaporates, 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a large mixing bowl to cool.
  • Add beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to bowl; divide mixture into four equal portions.
  • To each portion add 1/2 c carrots, 1/4 c rice, 1 Tbsp teriyaki sauce, 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes and 1 Tbsp scallions.
  • Use clean hands to form each meat loaf into a football shape and place on prepared baking sheet. Brush each loaf with an additional tsp teriyaki sauce. Bake until internal temperature reaches 160°F, 20-25 minutes.
  • Serving size: 1 meat loaf
