Dear Friends,
Can it really be December? To me, the gift of reading is a most precious  holiday gift. Here are this month's new reviews to help you find the perfect book. Two books for ages 9 to 12 coincidentally address the topic of the natural sciences and animals. One is especially good for girls, The Curious World of Calpurnia Tate, while Frightful's Mountain is about a boy and a falcon. Both books also are part of a series, so you could create a nice package as a gift.

For younger children, beloved author Patricia MacLachlan offers a new book called Just Dance, and an independent author has written a lovely read-aloud story book called My Mother's Tattoo

If you want help selecting a children's book for a young person in your life, simply use the search on litkidz.com with a key word. Or email me, and I'd be happy to help.

May you have a peaceful holiday season.
