My mom is free at last
Thank you for praying for my mom, Marilyn Nystrom. She completed her race and went home to be with her savior peacefully in her sleep around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday September 26. My sisters were able to join us and be with her for her last few days.
We are relieved for her that Congestive Heart Failure can no longer make her struggle to breathe, dementia can no longer scramble her thoughts, her several strokes can no longer mix up her words, and that pain-in-the-rear-end worn-out hip no longer prevents her freedom of movement.
She trusted that Jesus bought her ransom on the cross and conquered death when he rose again, so she went to him confident of her eternal destiny. For that, we are most grateful.
Her obituary is here.
Please pray for me and the rest of mom's family as we grieve. We are having a family-only memorial gathering soon in the Chicago area and the church service she requested here in Wisconsin sometime next summer.
Bonnie and I need a break. Please pray for a restful trip as Bonnie and I travel to our good friend Jerry Pfaff's memorial in New Jersey on October 23. Bonnie and I love road-tripping together and have not been able to do that in a long time. You may not hear from us much during October.
Thank you again for all the ways you help and encourage us.
Serving our King together,
John Nystrom (& for Bonnie)
