The Noble Eightfold Path

Monday Sitting & Walking

The photos above are from my recent visit to Plum Village Monastery and Healing Spring Monastery in France. The window photo on the left is in the room I stayed in and where Thich Nhat Hanh wrote Old Path, White Clouds

Please join us for our weekly sitting and walking practice with Ojai Mindfulness. We practice in the Plum Village Tradition following the lineage of our teacher, the Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh.

We will hold a short review of what we've been covering these past two months and follow that up with a session of questions and answers -- come with your questions!

Monday night we will explore this following our 50-minutes of sitting and walking meditation. We will meet from 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Resonance Healing Center

The Plum Village Tradition is a school of Buddhism named after the Plum Village Monastery in France, the first monastic practice center founded by Thich Nhat Hanh. It is an approach to Engaged Buddhism mainly from a Mahayana perspective, that draws elements from Zen and Theravada. Its governing body is the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism.
It is characterized by the application of mindfulness to everyday activities (sitting, walking, eating, speaking, listening, working, etc.). These practices are integrated with lifestyle guidelines called the Five Mindfulness Trainings, which bring an ethical and spiritual dimension to decision making and are an integral part of community life.
