Dear Friends,

It has been lovely practicing in the Plum Village tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh with all who attend our Monday evening practice. We've recently enjoyed sitting and walking meditation, the Great Bell Chant, Plum Village chants, the 5 Mindfulness Trainings and continued excerpts from Thay Phap Hai's book, "Nothing To It".

April brings beautiful spring weather and sunshine to the Ojai Valley. And, this year it brings a calling to our family to take a one-month break from sangha service. We will not be meeting on Monday evenings in April, nor on the second Saturday of April. We will resume sangha activities in May.

In gratitude for your practice and your presence,
Kenley and Leslie

Engaged Parenting as Spiritual Practice by Leslie Davis

For years, Buddhist practitioner Leslie Davis felt she was too busy being a mother to practice Thich Nhat Hanh’s tradition of “Engaged Buddhism” properly. Eventually, she discovered that parenting itself is a form of Engaged Buddhism.
