What's in a Name?

You probably have noticed the name change from GleanerWeekly to Northwest Adventists for this newsletter. And to answer your question, we are not changing the name of the printed Gleaner. The name change in online publications and social media is meant to unify. Northwest Adventists is descriptive of who we are. We've been using this term online to describe ourselves for more than six years. Now, instead of using it as a tag line, we've pivoted to use it as our online brand instead of Gleaner derivatives. Additionally, Northwest Adventists is easily understandable from a public facing perspective. It immediately says who we are. It also makes our content easier for conferences to consume and share with Adventists who may not be aware of what the Gleaner is and how it is connected to the church.
