Hope for Students

Your school year is totally different than you expected. The unexpected can bring pain and loss. But God has not stopped working. He can plant things in your life during this season of isolation that can help you emerge stronger on the other side. How? Check out this video from Dustin Serns, Port Orchard Adventist Church pastor.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Sharon Church members are still ministering to their community in Portland in the midst of the shutdown. Sharon runs a community service food bank the last two Sabbaths of each month, serving hundreds of families within the community. Members still gather at the church, practicing physical distancing, as they work together to pack up food boxes for those standing in line outside.

Coronavirus Leads to 'Activity Outpost'

Richie Brower remembers the day the governor of his state closed all the schools in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Creative Evangelism

At the end of March, the North Pacific Union held an unique evangelism event, the Hispanic Marriage Festival. While many unchurched people may not be immediately open to attending a more traditional evangelistic event, many may be willing to attend a weekend marriage retreat.

Navigating New Territory: Moving Youth Ministry Online

It's stating the obvious to say we are in an unpredictable, unprecedented time. We are all trying to figure out how to chart these unfamiliar waters. From our kids moving to online school or doing ministry online, theses are different and challenging. Here are four lessons leaders are learning through trial and error and ways to creatively engage young people and their families as we navigate this uncharted territory together.

A Look Designed For Clarity, Inspired By You

The North Pacific Union Gleaner began as a church newsletter more than a century ago. It has grown and changed over time. Now, more than 20 years after taking the publication online, our digital offerings are more comprehensive than ever as we seek to share news and inspiration from six Seventh-day Adventist conferences across five states.

The new Northwest Adventists digital brand is the next step in our effort to communicate clearly about who we are and connect with the people we serve. In the coming weeks you will notice a shift away from names like GleanerNow and GleanerWeekly and instead will see a single brand of Northwest Adventists.

Be assured you can expect the same award-winning content across all our digital channels sharing breaking Adventist news, encouragement, inspiration and Northwest events.
