Welcome to the latest update from Dig-in! We've got share news, shop news and soup news! As always, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported us, followed the journey and bought shares. We're not done yet though and still need your help. Please feel free to forward this email onto your friends and family to help spread the word.
We're So Close...
It's still the depths of winter, but the green shoots of spring are not far from sprouting on the high street!

We have some fantastic news to share with you! Thanks to your support, the Dig-In Bruntsfield share offer to open a community-owned greengrocer in Bruntsfield has raised almost £18,000! To be this far on the journey to reach our target of £30,000 is incredible. We now have over 140 shareholders and counting, in Edinburgh and beyond. All this would not be possible without you, our supporters, making this happen by buying shares, volunteering with us and continuing to spread the word about Dig-In.

We need £20,000 to start things off, so please do speak to anyone you know who might be willing to help us achieve our target!  Shares are still available to buy online, by post, or in person at our fundraising HQ at 119 Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh. If you haven't already read our share prospectus which tells you all about the Dig-In Bruntsfield share offer, you can read it here.

Together, we’ll make it happen!
Join us on the journey and buy your shares here...
Soup Saturdays
Why not come and say hello at one of our Soup Saturdays? Please come along to 119 Bruntsfield Place, try some delicious homemade soup, and find out more about our plans. Every Saturday until the end of February, 11am to 3pm.
Share Tax Relief
Our share offer has advanced assurance from HRMC. This means as a tax payer you may be eligible for 50% tax relief on your share investment under SEIS, the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme. This has been set up by the government to encourage support for local projects such as Bruntsfield Community Greengrocer!

Please note that we are not permitted to offer financial advice so please check your own eligibility and see the necessary advice.
Volunteer with us!
At our Volunteer Drop-In in January, Dig-In committee members and 7 interested new volunteers got to know each other over tea and cake. We are delighted with the number of new people we have volunteering with us to help with everything from distributing postcards to planning the shop layout!

We are currently seeking people with Web design and/or social media skills, and more. Please email volunteer@diginbruntsfield.co.uk for details, and come along to future Drop-Ins on February 9th and March 9th, 4-5pm at our shop. We’d love to meet you!
Dig-In Bruntsfield in the news
STV recently came to visit Dig-In at 119 Bruntsfield Place to find out more about the share offer and the concept behind our greengrocer. Read what some of our management committee had to say, see photos and more in their feature here.
