So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come." (Luke 11:2 NKJV)

Praying with Jesus: Your Kingdom Come
The second clause of the Lord’s prayer is a call for God’s Kingdom to come. It’s possible to think of that as the template for the whole prayer. God’s Kingdom comes through all the other elements of the prayer. And one of Jesus’ favourite topics was the Kingdom. He taught on and spoke about the Kingdom of God a lot. It stands to reason that if Jesus’ focus was so completely on the coming Kingdom of God, His followers should also. This Sunday’s talk therefore surveys Jesus’ teaching on the Kingdom, and urges us to make this prayer the focus of our lives.

The Neighbours Prayer
Father, I ask you to bless my neighbours.
Protect their bodies from sickness.
Protect their hearts from fear.
Protect their minds from distraction.
Fill their hearts with peace
Give me an opportunity to serve them with my hands, and share your love with my mouth

Life Church Re-Opening
This Sunday is the last online-only expression of church for just now. Of course, there may be future lockdowns, and we may have to return to online-only meetings depending on the local situation and government advice. While the church will re-open on Sunday 9th August 2020 for physical gatherings, there will still be an online expression as well. The physical meetings will be:
10am: Church Gathering in auditorium
11.30am: Family Service in auditorium
Each meeting will last around 45 minutes, and will be subject to Covid-19 protocols already emailed. Families with children should aim for the 11.30am meeting.
Important: you must register to attend. Registration will open each week on the Tuesday prior. For example, registration for Sunday 9th will open on Tuesday 4th. Register by contacting Chris by text, email, Whats App, or call.

Pray for Kenya

English and Swahili are the two official languages in Kenya but there are also 74 other languages in use. Most languages have Scripture portions, and 16 indigenous languages have the whole Bible. Pray for the invaluable work of The Bible Society and of the Institute of Linguistics  and the related, but indigenous, work of Bible Translation & Literacy. Together they handle most of the translation, printing and distribution of Scripture, as well as the demanding task of increasing literacy to maximize the impact of the translated Word.
Missions vision has significantly altered Kenya's church scene. A large an increasing number of Kenyans are serving cross-culturally within Kenya or abroad but the potential is much greater.
4-5% of Kenya's population are least-reached or unreached peoples. In the last 15 years, major progress has been made in reaching the unevangelized. Nearly every group has been adopted or targeted by Kenyan and foreign Christian groups. Pray for effective, culturally appropriate outreach to all these peoples. Many groups are starting to turn to Christ and some are even sending out evangelists themselves.

Coronavirus Update
As we are in level 3 of lockdown easing, we are required to practice social distancing when we go out and to wear masks in all shops. If anyone is feeling anxious about going out and about after being at home for four months, particularly if you've been shielding, be encouraged that God is faithful and trustworthy.
