Praying With Jesus: Forgive Us Our Sins
It is no surprise that forgiveness forms a fundamental part of the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray. The very purpose of His coming was to provide a compelling basis for God to forgive us, namely, the sacrifice of Himself. But He is looking to do more than just restore our relationships Godward. Forgiveness is not only to be received but to be practised. The prayer then becomes a statement of intent, that we will act like God does in offering forgiveness to those who have wronged us. Our willingness to do this is the litmus test which determines whether we are ultimately forgiven.

Lebanon Appeal
Please see this appeal from Impact 25:40, the relief arm of AoG. Next Sunday (23rd), there will be an opportunity to give to the appeal.
AOG is launching an urgent appeal to get desperately needed help to those affected by the disaster in Lebanon. With over 150 people dead, 5000 injured and an estimated 300,000 homeless, the needs are huge. AOG GB already has a proven partnership with Churches in Lebanon which means you can be assured that the money you give will be well used and will benefit those in greatest need. The challenge facing Lebanon is huge but together we can help make a difference.

Pray for Unreached People: Northern Pashtun in Afganistan
Pashtuns number over 40% of the Afghan population and are politically dominant. Pashtun on both sides of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border comprise what has been called the largest Muslim tribal society in the world - as many as 46 million people in over 30 major sub-tribes. Christians among them remain few, though some among the diaspora have shown some response. Pray that multitudes might be released from fear, prejudice, the strongholds of Islam and pride in pashtunwali (their tribal code of honour); their is evidence of an intense spiritual battle for breakthrough among this people.

Coronavirus Update
As we are in level 3 of lockdown easing, we are required to practice social distancing when we go out and to wear masks in all shops. If anyone is feeling anxious about going out and about after being at home for four months, particularly if you've been shielding, be encouraged that God is faithful and trustworthy.
