LOCAL FUNDRAISER
Whiskey & Wine Event Generates Record Proceeds
Thanks to the generosity of local residents, the April 2 event raised $12,000 in net proceeds, all of which will be reinvested into the community, supporting local emergency response and search and rescue efforts, reading and arts activities, and other community-based programs.

GRANT RECIPIENT

Sierra Madre Elementary

The Sierra Madre Elementary School received a grant to promote mental health issues for students and staff through art, essay, poster, and video contests.

GRANT RECIPIENT

Sierra Madre Post Office

The Sierra Madre Post Office Landscape project received a grant to install a drip-irrigation system and purchase native plants. 

GRANT RECIPIENT
Sierra Madre Public Library received three grants to support several programs:
The annual Bookmark Contest, a community-wide outreach program
The outdoor reading program “Walk This Way Story Adventure” in Memorial Park
Family Science Workshops, a six-week summer program hosted by local teacher Dany Richey
  • The City of Sierra Madre received a grant for its Halloween Happenings program to help support operational costs, including a parade and costume contest.
  • The Sierra Madre Middle School received a grant to purchase books for its English classes.
  • The Sierra Madre Community Emergency Response Team received a grant to purchase a metal storage container for long-term storage supplies and equipment.
  • The Sierra Madre Rose Float Association received a grant to provide float decorations.
  • The Creative Arts Group received a grant received a grant to help preserve its outdoor educational space.

Mt. Wilson Trail Race
The Mt. Wilson Trail Race will take place Saturday, May 28, 2022.  We will once again proudly sponsor the Kids’ Fun Run. Be sure to stop by our booth in Kersting Court and say hello.  You can get more info and register HERE.
