Caring for feral cats for over 20 years...

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Feral Cat Day Food Drive on October 17.  It was a rainy day but that didn't stop you from donating enough money to pay for most of Gunther's dental bill plus fill most of our shelves with cat food.  Thank you for Thrifty's for hosting us!
Ensuring your cat's tattoo contact information is up to date is essential to helping rescue groups like us find a lost cat's owners. Even the most responsible pet owners forget to notify the vet clinic they have moved.

The cat owner may be in the area the cat was found but the telephone number associated with the tattoo is no longer in service and the owners have moved from the last known address.  It is sad and unnecessary for a lost cat to lose it's family or owner because the tattoo information was not updated.
Although the mission of CatSpan is primarily to trap/neuter/return feral cats, we come across cats that are not feral, who have been abandoned, are lost or homeless.

These cats/kittens need to be placed in foster care where they can be assessed for their personalities, observed for potential medical problems, taken to a vet for necessary medical treatment, or possibly be socialized to become more comfortable with humans.
If you are interested in learning more about fostering with CatSpan, please click here or send us an email at catspanferals@gmail.com.
In August, CatSpan got a message from a couple who lost their cat after a horrible car crash on the Highway near Horne Lake.  Cats matching her description have been spotted a few times since August and her scent picked up by sniffer dogs as recently as a few weeks ago near Horne Lake Road.

She may be eating at outdoor cat feeders in the area.  Please keep your eyes open for Puss Puss, she is dearly missed by her caregivers.
Purdy's chocolates practically sell themselves and CatSpan will receive 25% of all sales ordered through the program.
