Sometimes I look at the very large Aid organisations in our world and wish that we could achieve as much as they do. I wish we could run the huge advertising campaigns and have sponsorship programs of hundreds of children. But we are not a huge aid organisation. We are a small, grassroots organisation that runs on volunteers and donations from generous people. The leaders of our programs in Zambia are Zambians. We stand with them as they know best how to improve the lives of the children in their care.

Eagles Wings Zambia is making a huge difference to the lives of about 500 children every year. Through the programs they support children to achieve at varying levels, according to their ability. Each achievement makes a lifelong difference, and for many of our students they are now studying at a tertiary level - a dream they did not dare to dream. For each child who receives an education, an extended family is impacted in a positive way. So the work of EWA, EWZ and GDG, in partnership, is achieving amazing things.

“Believe that what you do matters and will make a difference in people’s lives. You don’t have to save the world in one stroke but you can make a difference one person at a time”
- Leon Brown.

As we draw near to the Christmas season maybe you want to consider purchasing one of our Gifts of Hope to further the work of Eagles Wings. You can be certain that your funds will be delivered to the grassroots of making a difference to the lives of the children of Zambia. If you've run out of time for the post, we can do e-cards right up to Christmas.

On behalf of the staff and students of Eagles Wings Zambia, and the members of the Australian Board of Eagles Wings I wish you and your families a very blessed Christmas. We thank you for all of the support you have provided in 2017. Happy New Year!
