Hannah's enjoying a whole new life

Three years ago, 28-year-old Hannah Potapczyk, who has ADHD and high functioning autism, never wanted to leave her house but now thanks to her persistent mum, Marianne, and support from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) she’s enjoying a whole new life.

Newcastle Toy Library promotes inclusion

Newcastle Toy Library President, Sally Finnie and her daughter, Juliet Rose, enjoy all the toy library has to offer.

The Newcastle Toy Library has received a National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) Community Inclusion and Capability Development (CICD) Grant so it can buy speciality toys for children with disability to promote greater inclusion.

James goes from strength to strength

James Booth and mum, Christine Barwick

South Australian mum, Christine Barwick, said her four-year-old son, James, entered the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in December 2013 and without it he wouldn't be where he is today.

“James is now attending Talking Matters where he does speech therapy once a week and occupational therapy fortnightly and he has improved beyond belief,” she said.
