Tim and Deb Hanley wish you a Merry Christmas!

Behold, the virgin shall be with Child, and shall bear a Son,
and they shall call His Name Immanuel,

which translated means, God with us.
~Matthew 1:23

Michael Card, one of my favorite Christian songwriters, said at a concert in November, “The name Immanuel holds the entire Bible together.” He is right because God’s deepest desire is to be with His people. Throughout Scripture God goes to incredible lengths to be with His people. This is ultimately the reason the Holy God sent His Beloved Son to redeem rebels like you and me, dying on the Cross that we might be made righteous through Him by faith. He is with us. That is what we celebrate this Christmas. What a Savior! Our Immanuel.

Over these past few months, we have been reminded every day of ways that our Immanuel is with us. We are amazed and in awe of our Immanuel as He has been so gracious to our family and as He opens doors of ministry for the Gospel’s advancement and His glory.

Family News: Deb just finished a very busy semester at South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation where she works part-time teaching programming. She is wrapping up her 19th year there. Joshua and Kandice continue to do an amazing job in parenting Isaiah (3) and Naava (18 months). Dan is concluding his first year with the South Carolina Treasurer’s office and is working to complete his CPA in 2014. We praise God for our family!

ONE Church Ablaze News

ReviveCOLUMBIAsc.  For a week in early October over 200 intercessors converged on Columbia from the city and from around our nation to pray for revival and to proclaim the Gospel. This was an amazing time when the Spirit of intercession and the power of the Gospel were displayed all over the Midlands. There are ongoing activities to culminate in EngageCOLUMBIAsc in April. Evangelism Training.  Tim has been training men from the Midlands weekly. He also had the great opportunity to train 42 people in evangelism at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sumter in October. Seeing so many of those folks sharing the Gospel out in the streets of Sumter was one of the highlights of the year. Tim will train several groups and churches in evangelism over the next couple months. Revival Prayer and Preaching.  Tim has had the opportunity to lead Revival Prayer Days and to preach on revival at a couple different churches in the Midlands. He is planning with a team of evangelists for a mini-crusade in the Eau Claire area in mid-March of 2014.

Prayer and Support Team.  We praise God for over 330 prayer warriors who pray for us weekly and for the many individuals and families plus two churches who financially support us to make this ministry happen. We also have developed a CORE Leadership Team that helps us keep the wheels on the tracks God has given us.

Big Plans for 2014
Prayer Conference in Middle East in March.
In March of 2010, I had the opportunity to speak at a key prayer gathering of several hundred believers. During that five day conference, in the middle of the night I would hear a woman in another part of the conference center weeping, fervently praying, and praising God, all in Arabic. Later I was introduced to this amazing prayer warrior. Her name is Amal, and only in eternity will we understanding how God used her prevailing prayer to advance Christ’s Kingdom in the midst of all that has happened in the Middle East over the past few years. Amal had a great impact on my own personal prayer life.

I have been invited back to this prayer conference to be the keynote speaker. I will speak on four consecutive evenings to over 400 intercessors from all over the Middle East. These are critical days for the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom in that part of the world. The LORD will use this conference to change the course of history and the eternities of many in the Middle East. I praise God that my good friend Garnette Bouknight is going with me to make sure I do not end up lost somewhere.
Return Trip to Uganda in May.
During my trip to Uganda this past May, I had the opportunity to minister beside Gifford Shaw from Sumter.  Gifford, along with Clark Bynum, saved the lives of 398 people on a flight from London to Kenya on December 31, 2000 by subduing a man who had grabbed the controls of the plane making it head into a nose dive. Gifford and I have been invited to come back to Uganda in May for two weeks to participate in two evangelism conferences. The very exciting part is that Gifford is hoping to bring thirty people from the Midlands with him on this trip. This will be a great opportunity to train many Ugandans and also to immerse many from the Midlands in a revival culture. I will have the opportunity to preach at different churches and to train others in sharing the Gospel. I cannot wait to get back to Uganda! Let me know if you want to join us.
The cost for these two trips will be over $6,000. If you would like, there are two ways to make a tax deductible contribution to these opportunities:
