Interested in the process of PSHA modelling at the national level?
Servicio Geológico Nacional sgndominicano in cooperation with GEM, ONESVIE and USAID is hosting a webinar presentation of the national PSHA model for the Dominican Republic, June 14, 9-11am AST.
Discussions will cover 1) seismotectonics; 2) major datasets that were used to build the model; 3) seismic source characterization; 4) seismic attenuation properties of Hispaniola and the ground motion model logic tree that was selected for the Dominican Republic; and 5) main seismic hazard results computed from the model using the OpenQuake Engine.
