Welcome to The Manvers Paddler - the official newsletter of the Paddlesport Section of Manvers Waterfront Boat Club
Halloween Paddle & Party 29th October
#Biggerandbetter was the tagline and last Saturday's Halloween Paddle & Party certainly lived up to its billing! A great turnout of over one hundred people including over sixty paddlers on the water in an array of splendidly scary costumes and as many spectators made up of family, friends and passers by who were drawn to the event by their curiosity.
All of the activity throughout the afternoon and early evening preparing boats and fancy dress meant that the paddlers and spectators had built up an appetite which was more than satisfied by the party held afterwards. A Big Thank You to all the people who helped arrange, turned up, paddled, spectated and enjoyed the evening, as without "All" of you it wouldn't have been such a great success!.. Well Done...
A group of paddlers from the club took to the water last Sunday to take part in a trip down the River Derwent in memory of club paddler Ryan Cocksedge.
