Sunday 6th December 2015 - River Wharfe Trip Club paddle from Linton to Barden Bridge, 10 km of Grade 1/2 with a couple of harder bits - Linton Falls (Grade 4 right at the start) and Appetreewick Falls (Grade 3) both of which can be easily portaged. Friday 26th December 2015 - Matlock Paddle Short paddle from Artists Corner to Cromford ahead of the annual charity raft race. Run the gauntlet of flour bombs and water cannon fired by the raft race crowds, shoot Cromford Weir (big and scary but really easy and safe!) then watch (and laugh) as the rafts do the same. See noticeboard at club for more details or contact Bob Finch.
The programme for the period after Christmas will be added as soon as it is available.
Also just a reminder that club boats, paddles, helmets and spraydecks are available for club members to borrow for trips - contact Chris or Trevor for prices and more information.
A BUSY WEEKEND!
Lots of paddling by club members over the weekend - a reminder that the end of the summer doesn't mean you have to stop paddling!
The ones I am aware of:
A good turnout for the Saturday morning paddling session at the lake
Trip to the River Dee by Dan, Trevor, Ryan Cockesdge, Steve Whitebeard and Gaz
Sean, Evo, Aidan, Oliver and Grace at Darley Abbey slalom
Polo "A" Team in action at York
So remember that canoeing isn't just a summer sport and keep paddling! See you all on the next trip!
