Curator's Choice Follow Ups

It's been a busy couple of months at NOISE HQ, with consecutive events at the House of Commons, V&A, Granada Studios, the Tetley, and our outdoor exhibition next to Tate Modern and then at Tower Bridge - all to secure excellent opportunities for NOISE Festival 2014 artists. Here's a little peek into what the NOISE Curators have been involved in...
Remember when Giles Deacon said he'd hire the best artists from the Fashion category? We certainly do. Not long after this picture was taken, the girls were offered placements at GILES. They will each get experience in the varying departments that make up his iconic fashion label. Needless to say, they were pretty excited.
Having met at the House of Commons NOISE launch, our Photography Curator Elaine Constantine invited the talented Katie Shaw (far left), one of her selected NOISE Festival 2014 photographers, to a unique event as part of the 'Northern Soul All-Weeker'. For the launch of her film "Northern Soul" Elaine invited Katie to be part of the official shooting team on the closing night of the All-Weeker...not bad ey?
Last month’s live NOISE Q&A webinar was with Tricia Jones and her Print & Zines category winners. The co-founder of i-D magazine passed on an extra treat for her NOISE artists after the webinar – signed copies of her book Safe+ Sound. Pictured above is Lisa Lorenzo (NOUS Magazine) with her book.

Lisa's NOUS Magazine is accepting submissions for two shows - a visual print and words exhibition - in Manchester's creative Northern Quarter. For more information and to submit your work, see or contact

NOISE Ampl!fy 2014 Winners: PINKDOT

Having been chosen as the most impressive NOISE Ampl!fy event earlier this year, PINKDOT was back bigger and stronger at its home of Antwerp Mansion for Halloween. A truly unique event in a truly unique space, PINKDOT 2.0 mixed live music, art, graffiti, fashion, photography and much more in a day/night event on 30th October. We had some representatives there on the night, and it is safe to say it was thoroughly enjoyed by all...the less said about the day after the better. Huge thanks to everyone involved and especially to Charlie and Jack for all of their hard work!
