On October 2nd & 3rd, 2015 the Florida State University Department of Art History will proudly host our 33rd Annual Graduate Student Symposium, bringing together graduate students from programs around the country for presentation and discussion of their research.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Florida State University’s Department of Interior Design Professor and Chair, Lisa Waxman, has been awarded the Leibrock Universal Design Fellowship.

DANCE

This summer, Assistant Professor of Dance, Hannah Schwadron traveled to Hamburg, Germany for a creative residency and performance workshop.

School of Theatre on Broadway’s Big 10!

THEATRE

Congratulations to the Florida State University School of Theatre for making Playbill’s Broadway Big 10!  FSU School of Theatre was named by Playbill as one of the top ten colleges currently represented by alums in Broadway productions on stage now. 

FACILITY FOR ARTS RESEARCH

Faculty and students from FAR have collaborated with scientists from the Maitre Lab at the Perinatal Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital which is partnered with the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Welcome FSU/Asolo Conservatory Class of 2018

ASOLO

Welcome FSU/Asolo Conservatory Class of 2018 and Congratulations to Greg Leaming, the Director of the Asolo Conservatory, who will be premiering The Patsy, his original adaptation of Georges Feydeau’s French farce Le Dindon. 

MANCC

MANCC is pleased to welcome Returning Choreographic Fellow Yasuko Yokoshi into residence, September 2-19. MANCC will offer two public events, a film screening and an informal showing, in support of Yokoshi’s research.

The Walmsley Gallery: In 2002, the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts, in recognition of the splendid donation of artworks by Bill and his beloved wife Dorothy, named a Gallery in his honor.
