During this year’s Days of Dance performances, the School of Dance recognized the many artistic talents of its faculty and students, but also celebrated the career of retiring Professor Rick McCullough. McCullough served as the Artistic Director for this year’s concert.

The FSU School of Theatre will be showcasing our graduating Music Theatre and Acting students this May in New York City! This year’s showcases will feature seven Music Theatre students and six Acting students. The Music Theatre Showcase will take place on Monday, May 8th.

This summer, Rob Duarte will complete his work as Artist in Residence at the Media Archaeology Lab with support of a COFRS summer salary grant. Duarte’s work casts a critical eye toward technology and challenges viewers to consider the political ideology embedded within.

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory kicks off its season in November with Sophocles’ “OEDIPUS”, the story of one viciously egotistical ruler who discovers how dangerously seductive political power can be and how impossible it is to escape the lure of destiny.

As of 2017, the Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography (MANCC) will have provided creative development residencies for over 120 professional artists and their collaborators from around the United States.

Museums everywhere are grateful for volunteer staff. Volunteers and interns at the Museum of Fine Arts are generally younger than their counterparts at other museums: our personable cadre of volunteer staff are all under 30—probably all under 25—and at least some of it has to do with parking.

For several years, The Ringling has offered many ways for people to engage with the museum. With support from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, The Ringling has launched “Artful Families”, a pilot program that explores new ways of engaging adult caregivers.
