A time to celebrate, commemorate

And re-energize pro-life efforts

This week we had cause for great celebration when we learned that Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin permanently closed the doors on its Grand Chute abortion facility.

Statements from PPWI mention security concerns, but when the facility first closed in 2015, they said they had staffing issues.

Pro-Life Wisconsin was interviewed and featured in several news stories about the facility closure. If you didn't catch the TV and paper stories, check them out here:

Run for babies

Time is running out to register for our Love for Life run/walk/stroll and brat fry with reduced cost.

Through Sept. 8, spots for the event are $20. Prices increase by $10 for day-of registration. Family pricing is available.

All proceeds help crisis pregnancy outreach.

Help us make sure we have race bibs, water cups and post-race food by registering early.

Another reason to celebrate

On Friday, the state Department of Health and Human Services released data showing abortions decreased in Wisconsin in 2015 compared to 2014.

This is great news! More moms are choosing life around Wisconsin!

Pro-Life Wisconsin sent a press release to our supporters on Friday and to media outlets.

See more about our reaction to the great news here.

Candidates on life

CBS 58 - Milwaukee: Ryan Solen "was saddened by the news that Planned Parenthood permanently closed" the Grand Chute facility. Solen is opposing Speaker Paul Ryan in Wisconsin's First Congressional District.

Refinery 29: In 2015, (Donald Trump) said in the first Republican primary debate that he had evolved on the issue (of abortion) over the years, citing Ronald Reagan as an example of someone who had done the same. “Since [1999], I’ve very much evolved,” he said, “and I am very, very proud to say that I am pro-life.”

Pro-life news

Breitbart: The nation’s largest organization of pro-life millennials is launching an initiative focused on middle school age students whose public schools already allow abortion business Planned Parenthood access to them through “comprehensive” sex education programs.

The Federalist: Miscarriage comes with deep anguish and grief. I know, because I have just suffered my fourth. Those of us who have experienced a miscarriage, or recurrent miscarriage, largely grieve in the shadows or behind closed doors. We live in a culture that tells us we have not lost a child, but a blob of tissue.

Daily Mail: 'It was so difficult to make the decision to take Travis' life at such a young age,' Mrs. Gunn said. 'It seemed like the right thing.'

Life News: The Thomas More Society filed a federal lawsuit against Chicago over its abortion clinic “bubble zone” ordinance. The law makes it illegal to approach within 8 feet of someone who is walking towards an abortion clinic once they are within 50 feet of the entrance.
