in a bid to start up its green transition.  Ryan Gillis, the
President of Thiozen, one of NSIV's newest members
was also quoted as saying, "he looked at 3

COVID-19 Update

NSIV is requiring all member companies to have a written COVID policy for their employees and to have that policy approved by NSIV.  We are committed to ensuring a safe environment for our members, their staff, the NSIV staff, and all visitors.  This policy must be in place and approved by NSIV by October 21, 2021.

Keeping Up with NSIV

Existing technologies that recover critical minerals from e-waste and mining are dirty and inefficient.  Nth Cycle's ability to leverage the power of electro-extraction, clean and modular technology for reliably recovering critical minerals from e-waste and low-grade mine tailings using only electricity, is clean, customizable, consistent, and mobile. Radical Plastic's soil-degradable mulch films were field-tested this summer. Over 14 growers from California to Florida ran pilot trials on their film. Initial results from these tests were positive. The feedback they received from growers is being used to optimize mulch film formulations. The data collected will be leveraged for marketing purposes to support the commercial launch of the biodegradable film. 
TerraVerdae Bioworks, a leading performance bioplastics company, is pleased to announce the global introduction of a new line of PHA-based resins for customer evaluations. These new resin formulations are available in three versions: for blown/cast films, injection moulding and thermoforming. The launch of these products forms a major milestone in TerraVerdae’s extensive development effort to produce plastic resins that are not just biobased and biodegradable, but also, have requisite performance properties for customers to meet evolving material needs and sustainability goals.
Keeping Up with NSIV Graduates
seqWell, a global provider of next-generation sequencing (NGS) library technologies based on its proprietary plexWell™ multiplexing platform, today announced five appointments to its commercial team.  Led by Steve Smith, who joins as Chief Commercial Officer, the team will be responsible for driving awareness, adoption, and development of the plexWell platform and product pipeline, to provide scientists with a simplified NGS workflow. Joining Steve are Curtis Knox, Senior Product Manager; Renata Santos,      Senior Field Applications Scientist; Kellie                                                       Faulkner, Marketing Manager; and Laura                                                       Clark, Marketing Specialist.
What's Going On?
The new, state-of-the-art biomanufacturing learning environment at GMGI’s Gloucester Biotechnology Academy in Blackburn Center is complete and prepared for its first group of students. On Wednesday, September 8, GMGI staff were joined by Governor Charlie Baker, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Mike Kennealy, Representative Ann-Margaret Ferrante, and others to cut the ribbon on the new laboratory space.  Read the full press release here.
