Thank you to all who made 20 Days of Spark Northwest a success by reading along, making a donation, or joining for an event. Despite being virtual, it was a wonderful gathering of the community that has created Spark Northwest over two decades. Over 1200 folks participated online, and we had ~116 event participants! With everyone pitching in, we exceeded our goal and raised just over $57,000. Here’s a recap of some favorite moments from the month.

20th Anniversary Celebration— It was wonderful to have Spark Northwest supporters come together to wish us a happy twentieth and to share your vision for a more just energy future. Communities on the Front Lines of Climate Change Webinar— Combining a few of the topics that are most relevant to our work, Spark Northwest Project Manager Tarika Powell led a lunch & learn webinar looking at the disproportionate impacts of climate change on marginalized communities, disparity loops, and how this connects to deconstructing barriers to clean energy. Energizer Launch & Giveaway— October marked the launch of Spark Northwest’s Energizer program for monthly donors. By supporting Spark Northwest’s work with a monthly donation, Energizers power Spark Northwest to generate equitable clean energy across the Northwest in an ongoing way. Plus, two lucky new Energizers won a solar panel and a book! Thank you to all who signed up and participated in the giveaways. We’re excited to create change together.
