General Practice Funded Clinical Safety Officer Training
As part of the “core and mandated” services set out in Securing Excellence in Primary Care (GP) digital services: The Primary Care (GP) Digital Services Operating Model 2019-21, there is a requirement to locally commission clinical safety assurance advice and support for General Practice, ensuring that the necessary standards are met for management of clinical risk in relation to the deployment and use of health software.
Clinical Safety, Information Governance and Information Security risk and impact assessments should be an integral part of any clinical system deployment, reconfiguration and interfacing projects. As part of these arrangements practices should have access to qualified clinical safety officer support. It is essential therefore, that locally commissioned Clinical Safety Officers are appropriately trained.
In support of this, the Midlands Digital First Primary Care team are pleased to be able to offer up to 48 funded places on the remote Clinical Safety Officer Foundation Course on the following dates:
Thursday, 23rd June 2022 0900-1500Hrs

Course Information: https://digital.nhs.uk/services/clinical-safety/clinical-risk-management-training#the-foundation-course.
Please Note: When completing your booking please utilise @nhs.net email addresses. Funded places are only intended for staff working within Primary Care General Practice and Clinical Safety Officers supporting General Practice as part of locally commissioned GP IT Services.
