To mark International Safe Abortion Day on Tuesday 28 September 2021, DKT WomanCare invites you to a roundtable discussion exploring the use of Manual Vacuum Aspirators (MVA) in South Africa.

The session, in line with this year’s theme 'Safe abortion is essential healthcare', will have speakers engaging audiences on demystifying MVAs as a key component of abortion care. Our experts will spotlight the impact of COVID-19 on abortion services in South Africa and the advantages of the Ipas MVA methods during the pandemic.

This session will sensitize new audiences, mainly young women, on the use of MVAs as part of abortion care. This conversation will focus on demystifying and dismantling the fear factor associated with MVAs. This will include a demonstration of the use of MVA.
