NRP x SIAA Robotics Ecosystem Collaboration

The National Robotics Programme (NRP) is a multi-agency national programme and looks at the end-to-end development of differentiating robotics enablers and solutions in Singapore, from funding R&D to facilitating partnerships for translation and adoption to maximise socio-economic impact. SIAA is an ecosystem partner to NRP and we are interested to support the business collaborations within the robotics ecosystem.  As part of this on-going effort, we would like to showcase 2 start-ups: RO Plus and TacniQ who has reconfigurable gripping solutions and equipping robots a sense of touch respectively. They are looking to partner up with SIAA members, get in touch with them today!

Intelligent Reconfigurable Soft Robotic Gripping Solutions

Roplus provides reconfigurable gripping solutions for a diverse range of applications, from automated harvesting to food packaging. Our R&D team focuses on the development of soft robotic grippers and customized automated solutions for production lines or farms, and the integration of computer vision in pick-and-place tasks. With 3D-printed soft fingers, our grippers can minimize the risk of damage to products and enable the delicate handling of items.
With adjustable gripper bases, our grippers can accommodate a diverse range of products of various shapes and sizes. Our computer vision systems enable fully automated pick-and-place processes with minimal human intervention.  We are seeking potential end-users to provide testbed for our products, as well as system integrators or other automation and robotics companies to partner for automation projects.

Equipping Robots With a Sense of Touch

How important is it for robots to be able to ‘feel’? Touch, combined with other senses such as sight, is critical to tasks such as picking up objects – knowing if they are hard or soft, light or heavy, rough or smooth allows us to determine the amount of force needed to grasp and object.
The same senses are needed for robots to perform such tasks. We are seeking for System Integrators and Warehousing Automation Robotics type of companies to work with! Find out more (link to SIAA URL) about how TacniQ is enabling autonomous robots to see, feel and learn.
