Keith Roberson and his animation students held the First Annual Experimental Animation Night at The Fermentation Lounge in Tallahassee, FL on Thursday April 16th. The festival showcased animated and experimental short films by FSU Students.

March 26th through 28th the National Art Education Association held its annual conference. This year’s conference, the theme of which was The Art of Design: Form, Function, and the Future of Visual Arts Education took place in New Orleans.

Art History PhD student Brad Hostetler has been awarded a Junior Fellowship at Dumbarton Oaks (Harvard for the 2015-16 academic year.

Dr. Jill Pable, professor and Kenan Fishburne, assistant professor in the Department of Interior Design have provided pro bono interior design consultation for Tallahassee’s Kearney Service Center, a new 36,000 220 bed emergency homeless shelter that opened April 5, 2015.

The School and Friends of Dance took a moment before the closing performance of this year’s Days of Dance to thank and recognize professor and co-chairperson, Patty Howell Phillips, who will be retiring this summer.
